Senior Practitioner - Initial Assessment

Charles Hunter Associates is currently recruiting for a permanent Senior Practitioner (this is a non case holding post equivalent to Assistant Team Manager) to join a children's initial assessment service on a permanent basis.  The structure of this service is such that you will be a non case holding manager and will be directly reporting into the team manager of assessment services.  The position is based in North Kent. 

You will be responsible for the supervision and line management of up to 7 social work and social work assistant staff on a day to day basis.  Your role will include the support and development of staff and providing your professional expertise to ensure cases are allocated correctly, efficiently and within statutory timescales.  There will also be an element of long term work involved and you will be in close contact with the long term service within the authority.

-  GSCC Registered Social Work Qualification
-  PQ Award in Social Work (essential)
-  At least 4 years experience within Children's Services - R&A, CIN)
-  Supervisory experience - proven experience managing staff is essential
-  Car Driver

In Return

-  Salary circa £35,000 to £42,000 per annum inclusive of a £3,000 frontline supplement
