Assistant Team Manager – Leaving Care – West Berkshire

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker looking to progress into a managerial role or a current Assistant Team Manager to join the well established, highly regarded West Berkshire Council.

You will be responsible for supervising and supporting staff in the day to day delivery of services in respect of vulnerable children, including those with a Child Protection Plan, subject to care proceedings and children who are looked after or in need. 

This is a well established and enthusiastic team working on a multi-disciplinary basis, who’s main focus is the development of services for Care Leavers. You must be committed to the ever changing requirements of young people and use a can-do attitude towards the development of the Employability Scheme, which promotes better opportunities for care leavers.

The successful candidate will:

- Be Social Work qualified
- GSCC registered
- Senior Social Worker level or be a current Assistant Team Manager
-  Car driver
